Bunny Love

Maddie loves bunnies.

When we find them in our garden, she likes to chase them.

Her love of bunnies started last Easter when my aunt Angie gave her a singing, dancing Easter bunny (well, a chick actually dressed like a bunny).  We had our family reunion this weekend on my Mom's side, so Maddie got her second singing, dancing bunny from my Aunt Angie.  These were pictures from last March when Maddie got her first bunny...

Now she can sing and dance along with her bunny!

Eclectic Energy

This is what I love about toddlers...

It's the beginning of summer so of course you have to have your lei.  The red bandana just adds a touch of flair and when you stumble across a beautifully crocheted stocking cap (Thanks Paige!) in Mommy's closet it just begs to be worn!!  The outfit is complete with a long sleeve shirt and a Fuzzi Bunz diaper!

Silly Maddie

There's a few things Maddie loves to do around the house just to be silly.  Here's the first...

Smooshing her face against the patio door.  And second...

She absolutely loves walking around with things on her head (a towel, a scarf, a playsilk, a hat) so she can't see!  She was getting Gracie her toys but she had no idea where Gracie was so she would just yell out, "GAY-SEEEEEE!" and then toss another chew toy out.  It was hilarious.

Farmstead Fun

We had a really great weekend visiting Kyle's family in Kansas City.  We took Maddie to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead Saturday morning and it was the highlight of the trip!

It was overcast and cool...perfect for pictures and very comfortable for being outside.

Maddie had a great time with her Grandpa!  

She really enjoyed the goats too...

We got up close and personal.  We got to feed them, but they were a little too anxious to get a bite, so we left that to Grandpa and we watched at a safe distance.

They weren't content to just drink the milk...

apparently my scarf was really tasty too!

The goats were super cute and quite photogenic!

Next, we thought we would feed the ducks and the geese...

 We stood by the fishing pond and Maddie was cautiously watching when all of a sudden, she BOLTED...right INTO the pond!  She was knee deep before we composed ourselves and reached her!

 

Next, Maddie sloshed on over to the playground where she discovered the children's garden.

Then we saw a turkey...

 and turkey babies...

and Maddie found out what happens when hungry little turkeys find a tasty-looking finger to munch on!  OUCH!  We quickly moved on stopping to enjoy the beautiful flowers.

We saw sheep, bunnies, goats, cows, turkeys, eagles, owls, horses, and chicks.  Maddie really loved it.  This is definitely a place we will go back to next time we are in Kansas City.  It's so lovely!

Good Light

This morning I saw Maddie sitting in the chair and knew the light was perfect for some good pictures.  See what I mean?

I even caught the catch light in her eyes.  : )  

S-T-R-E-T-C-H!!!  Still waking up.
