Last night I made Mushroom Ragu with Fontina Polenta. It was tasty.
I found these mushrooms at the health food market. I have a love/hate relationship with mushrooms...love the taste, hate the texture. So, I have to chop them up really fine, and unfortunately, destroying the texture of the mushrooms destroyed the integrity of the recipe. We ate mush (mushroom ragu with finely chopped mushrooms) on mush (fontina polenta). To give it more texture I toasted some pecan and sprinkled on top. Much better!
Maddie liked it, but only if it was off Mamma's plate!
