Making Adjustments

I've learned that sometimes when you have a child with special needs or you just want to do something with a younger child that may not have mastered a certain skill, adjustments need to be made.
Yesterday I was grocery shopping and I just couldn't resist wandering down the Easter aisle at Wal-Mart.  I stumbled across these...
Aren't they cute!  A little stamp set!  I thought Maddie would love it but I knew she would never be able to manage holding the stamp, putting it in the ink pad, and transferring it to the paper.  Her little fingers just aren't that strong.  But she has mastered the pincer grasp!  So, I trekked across the store to the hardware aisle and picked up these...
Then it was super easy to just hot glue them to the stamps...
And presto!

A stamp set Maddie can "handle"!  : )
The entire project cost around $3!  Try it for your little one too : )
