Maddie's 3rd Birthday!

It happened...my baby girl turned 3!
It's hitting me a lot harder than I thought it would, but she had a blast at her birthday party.  Get comfortable, there's LOTS of pictures ahead!
We had to have two parties since my family had a wedding to go to that night.  Maddie was super excited when everyone showed up!

Hugs for everyone!
My Dad made this sign for the party.  It was the perfect touch.
Time for birthday song and cake.  For this party, we just picked up these cupcakes from Sam's Club.

She loved the singing...

and the cupcakes were Maddie-approved!
Next, it was time to open presents.
Her new tricycle!  From Grandma and Grandpa Schasteen!

Her new bean bag! From Grammie and PaPa!
She got so many great things but her favorite...
Her new drum set!! (a gift uncles LOVE to give.  My Uncle Mike warned me before she opened it that I would hate him for it!)  I actually think its just too darn cute to worry about the noise.

We had a great time and now it was time to get ready for the other party.
The decorations were in place.
The goodie bags were ready for the taking.
The food was in place.

And all of the activities were set and ready to go!
Oscar's Can Toss...for the little-bitty's.
The rubber duckie pond was a big hit with all the kids.
Hopscotch...in the red bucket I had sidewalk chalk for all for all the kids to use on the patio.

Bert's balloon toss...this was my favorite activity!  We had an inflatable seal the kids took aim and threw the balloons at!
and yes...I drew every, single Bert face on each balloon!  Time consuming, but well worth it! It was a big hit.
Aaaannnnd....the cake!

We loved it!  It was perfect.  My friend Marti did the cake again this year.  Check out all of her great cakes here.
We had such a great party.  And afterwards, we tried out the tricycle.
and chilled on the bean bag!
The perfect ending for a perfect day!
